::: ::: section software i use to make my hundreds of tabs less overwhelming
- linkding: fancy bookmarking with search, tags, unread/archived links
- linkding-extension: press this button to bookmark the current link
- linkding companion: make bookmarked links show up in search results
- note: requires a server to be run on
- onetab: slap this button to move tabs into a list
- hoverflow: preview/browse links by hovering over them
- tree-style-tabs (firefox): organize tabs hierarchically (like files and folders)
- if you don't want this, having vertical tabs is still very nice
vertical tabs
they feel weird at first, but are great once you get used to them. horizontal tabs get squished into only their favicon (icon) when you have lots of tabs. vertical tabs have higher information density.
windows
useful, but do not make many of them. :::
